97% Syrah and 3% Viognier hand-picked from a cool climate vineyard in Echunga. Matured in 25% new oak and bottled in June of 2014. The wine has intense aromas of cassis, fenugreek, charcuterie and tapenade. Despite nine years of bottle ageing, there is still pronounced fruit notes of blackberry, blueberry and a hint of pomegranate. Undeniably deserved winner of the 2014 Jimmy Watson award.
