Ardbegs limited Anamorphic release is an experimental whisky bottled at 48.2% that seeks to increase the exposure of the cask to toasting by removing the barrel heads in the process, thereby increasing the richness of the whisky matured inside said casks. The result is an Ardbeg whisky loaded with mocha, coffee bean, and other decadent, roasted flavors in addition to the trademark peat smoke and spice.
