The Lopez-Montero family has been making wine since 1788. Their focus is to make wines from the best vineyards and terroir on their properties. They believe “wine is actually made in the vineyard”. Many of their vines are over 50 years old. In 2005, Maria Victoria Montero, with her children, created Bodegas y Vinedos Verum. The winery and vineyards are located in the town of Tomelloso, in the La Mancha wine region. The town ranks among one of the top wine-making places in the world.
The La Mancha region in Spain is the largest continuous vine-growing area in the world! Located in Central Spain, the main grapes grown here are Tempranillo (also known locally as Cencibel), Garnacha, Macabeo (also known as Viura) and Airen, along with some other international varieties. This lineup of wines is meant to be enjoyed fresh and young. Serve this year, and chill well to 16C.
