This wine undergoes 18-25 days on skins with rapid warm ferments and is matured in tank to retain bright fruit, without oak influence. It offers aromas of black Doris plums, blueberries, and dark cherries, and a rich, fruity palate with a smooth finish and soft tannins. Produced by Rockburn in Central Otago, known for its rugged landscapes and intense varietal characteristics, the wine reflects the regions harsh climate which shapes the vines. With a climate similar to Burgundy, Central Otago is renowned for its Pinot Noir, with distinct profiles from areas like Gibbston Valley and Bannockburn.
