Togouchi Whisky Kiwami Sake Finish offers an intriguing marriage of whisky and sake, a true testament to Japan’s mastery of flavour. The base spirit is crafted from a mix of wheat, corn, and 18% peated malted barley, distilled twice and aged in bourbon barrels. But the magic happens when it’s finished for three months in sake casks, previously used to mature Junmai-shu sake. This unique finishing process imparts subtle fruity aromas, with notes of green apple, pear, and a touch of vanilla. A hint of white fruit rounds off the whisky’s delicate profile, while the smooth wood finish brings a sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar.
