100% Shiraz sourced exclusively from the top section of the Blenheim Shiraz block planted in 1995. Harvested by hand with whole berry ferment, pressed gently and matured for 15 months in barrel before bottling.
Perfumed with blue and black plum fruits with a hint of cured meat. The palate has beautiful density of fruit, liquorice and a slate-graphite minerality. A wonderful season with plenty of hang time for fruit to gain flavour density but retain an energy and brightness to the palate. A solid framework of oak tannins from 30% new oak perfectly balanced with the intense fruit flavour and a layered texture. The persistence of the elegant flavour profile lingers for an age.
